Oh I heard some Lukather in there 👍🏻 That lead sound is killer, not to many effect, so you can hear the sound. I’m sure I heard a pitch shifter on it.

I’ve followed Dann since his White Heart days. He is still under the radar of many. I always felt he was one of the top lead guitarists because of his technical prowess, his sound and his melodic leads that soar over any composition: leads that blended the lead melodically and thematically to any song he approached. Lacking is videos such as yours, highlighting not only Dann, but his sound. Dude, you killed it! Thank you!

Alan's short but eloquent solo from the Total Contrast track, 'Takes a little time' is a real gem. You can find the track here on RUclips. Although you'll have to search for it as there are a few versions that don't feature it. I think the solo you chose here is from their appearance on the Channel 4 80s show. 'The Tube'.
